OCTOBER 2019

Danielle Inez (FTS2013) was named Chief of Staff for Shelby County Government.
Michael Deutsch (EP2019) was awarded the Community Service Award from the National Invest in Others Organization.
Cindricka Arrington (FTS2019) was featured as a Leading Woman in Business for Memphis within the subscription issues of Fortune, Entrepreneur, & Real Simple Magazines in the month of October for helping clients excel in life and business. She was also featured in His Favor Magazine, an online publication, and co-authored an ebook, Glambitious Guide to Being an Entrepreneur in September 2019.
Meg Thomas Crosby (EP2009) was named Operating Partner at SSM Partners.
Audrey Gregory (EP2013) was named President of Tenet’s Detroit Medical Center and CEO of its Adult Central Campus.

Kathy Buckman Gibson (EP2003) was recognized as Woman of the Year by the Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry’s (TAPPI) Women in Industry Division at its recent annual PaperCon conference. Kathy has served her industry for over 25 years and is the CEO and President of KBG Technologies, a woman-owned business providing chemistry and smart technologies to the pulp and paper industry and water treatment market.
Gortria Banks (FTS2019) has been named a Finalist for Memphis Business Journal CFO of the Year 2019.
Kenya Bradshaw (EP2007) was awarded a Top 40 Under 40 Urban Elite Professionals Award, which honors African American rising Memphians who offer unique and innovative solutions to social problems, as well as those who shine in their respective professions.

Maura Sullivan (EP2005) was recently awarded the certification of Credentialed City Manager. There are only 11 others with this certification in Tennessee.

Thurston Smith (EP2013) – After 20 years of civil service with the Veterans Health Administration, Thurston began a new career as adjunct faculty at Southwest Tennessee Community College’s Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences. With over 25 years of experience in the counseling, behavioral health, and continuing education fields, Thurston will bring a wealth of experience to his new academic role.
