Leadership Memphis is Seeking Nominations for 40 Change Makers Who Have Positively Impacted Memphis in the Past 40 Years

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Leadership Memphis is celebrating its 40th Anniversary and asking the community to nominate individuals who have made Memphis better over the past 40 years. 40 Change Maker finalists will be honored at Leadership Memphis’ 40th Anniversary celebration luncheon on May 21, 2019. Nominations should be submitted online through the Leadership Memphis website at leadershipmemphis.org before February 28, 2019. “Leadership Memphis is honored to celebrate its 40th anniversary by recognizing many of the incredible people who have helped shape our city over the past 40 years,” said David Williams, Leadership Memphis President and CEO. “We are excited to pay tribute to the 40 Change Maker finalists at our celebration later this year.”

The community is invited to nominate individuals who fit the definition of a Change Maker, which is:

  • One who drives change by gathering knowledge, galvanizing resources and using their considerable influence to facilitate change
  • A person who inspires change that impacts a broad base of people either socially, educationally, economically, spiritually or politically

A panel of judges will select the Change Maker finalists from the following four categories:

  1. Business
  2. Healthcare
  3. Arts/Education
  4. Nonprofit/Community Involvement

The deadline to submit nominations is February 28, 2019. Nominees do not need to be an alumnus of Leadership Memphis. A panel of judges will make the final selections, ten per category, and the honorees will be recognized at the Leadership Memphis 40th Anniversary Luncheon on May 21, 2019.
