Carol Gaudino, Leadership Memphis' new Director of Volunteer Memphis

The Leadership Memphis Board of Directors is pleased to announce the hiring of Carol Gaudino, who will join the senior staff as Director of Volunteer Memphis.

Carol most recently was with Baptist Memorial Health Care in System Community Outreach. Prior to BMHC, Gaudino was Director of Corporate Services for Volunteer Mid-South.

“I’m excited about the evolution of Volunteer Memphis and what that can mean for our community. There is such great opportunity for collaboration with our local and national partners who offer an unmatched blend of ideas, innovation, and expertise, along with a powerful commitment to helping citizens to engage, take action, and solve community problems through volunteer service,” said Gaudino.

Because of her breadth of expertise in corporate volunteerism and Volunteer Memphis, Gaudino is integral in the working knowledge of the Volunteer Memphis website and database. In her new role as Director of Volunteer Memphis, Carol will continue to strengthen the relationship with Volunteer Memphis’ national affiliates; Points Of Light Institute and HandsOn Network.

HandsOn Network and Points of Light Institute are committed to developing leading–edge strategies and programs that will change lives through service. They are constantly evolving to stay at the forefront of volunteerism and civic engagement and are uniquely positioned to gather best practices from the field, to evaluate and refine program models, provide vibrant technology platforms (like HandsOn Connect) and training opportunities. As an affiliate of both national volunteer organizations, Volunteer Memphis will provide our community with powerful tools and resources to empower citizens to make a difference through volunteering.

Before her role at Baptist and Volunteer Mid-South, Carol was Associate Director of Development for the Zoological Society of Florida (Miami Metro Zoo) and manager of special projects and corporate communications for Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.

Carol recently served as co-chair of the Memphis Grantmakers Forum and was appointed by Governor Bredesen to serve on the State of Tennessee Volunteer Tennessee Commission.
